SAFEGROUND IN ACTION

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

We are an Australian, volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation that works to reduce the harms of legacy and emerging weapons.
Through applied research and advocacy, we work to reduce the impacts of explosive remnants of war to ensure a safe future for all.
Stay aware and up to date with SafeGround’s expert commentary and the latest news from the world of land mine, cluster munitions, lethal autonomous weapons regulation and more.
Learn the complex historical backgrounds about the issues we contend with today via MiddleGround, In Search of SafeGround and Stay In Command, our in-house publications and podcasts.

Our Projects

We work on projects pertaining to interests on Australian soil, including Stop Killer Robots and Australian survivors of war.

Our Pacific projects include legacy weapons education programs in the Solomon Islands, ERWs in the Pacific, and Stop Killer Robots in the Pacific.

Our SE Asia projects document the deadly legacy of UXOs (land mines, cluster munitions, IEDs) and the efforts of removal teams to make the ground safe for all.
