Support Survivors of War in Australia
SafeGround has worked with people affected by war and conflict since 1990. We know many residents of Australia have lived, fought or worked in conflict areas. Our next aim is to research the status of survivors of war in Australia. We will explore how civilians, refugees, migrants, humanitarian aid workers, journalists, peace-keepers, servicemen and women in Australia are affected by the conflicts they have lived in. With our first-hand experience from the frontline and in post-conflict areas we hope to improve conditions for these survivors on Australian soil. In 2021 we are teaming up with students from Australian universities to find out how survivors of war fare in Australia.
