Matilda Byrne

Matilda Byrne is a young researcher and advocate passionate about disarmament among other humanitarian issues related to international security. She studied a Masters of International Relations and is currently undertaking a PhD on humanitarian intervention in the field of international security and global governance. When SafeGround launched and assumed leadership of the Australian efforts as part of the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots at the beginning of 2019 Matilda was appointed as Coordinator. She joined SafeGround’s committee in 2015 during her studies and has served in communications and as Secretary.
